New Brunswick invites over 600 PNP and AIP candidates

The New Brunswick provincial government issued invitations to provincial immigration candidates in a series of selection rounds held from 03 to 06 March 2026.

Invitations were issued through three streams belonging to New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) — with some streams including multiple routes — along with Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), targeting candidates with experience in several priority sectors.

NBPNP results

New Brunswick issued a total of 622 invitations in the latest selection series. Candidates were invited through the New Brunswick AIP and the following NBPNP streams:

• New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream;
• New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream;
• New Brunswick Express Entry Stream.

The Expression of Interest (EOI) submission deadline for all selection rounds in this series was 23:59 Atlantic Standard Time (AST) on 02 March 2026.

New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream

Candidates were invited through two routes of the skilled worker stream: the New Brunswick experience route and the New Brunswick graduate route. Candidates were also prioritised based on the occupational groups to which their professions belong.

Of the 622 total invitations issued in this selection round, approximately 45% were issued under the skilled worker stream, which was the largest selection category in this series.

The New Brunswick skilled worker stream is designed for foreign nationals working or holding a job offer from an eligible employer in New Brunswick. Candidates invited through this stream must typically meet the following requirements: hold a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from a New Brunswick employer; possess the necessary skills and experience for the offered position; and meet minimum language and settlement requirements.

New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream

Candidates were invited through two routes of the strategic initiative stream: the New Brunswick French-speaking worker route and the New Brunswick Francophone community priority route. Unlike other streams in this selection round, candidates from all occupational sectors were eligible to receive invitations through this stream.

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream targets French-speaking foreign nationals with ties to the province and the ability to contribute to the development of Francophone communities across the province.

New Brunswick Express Entry Stream

Only a minority of invitations in this round were issued through the Express Entry stream — just 4% of the total. Candidates were prioritised based on occupational groups, with the fields invited largely overlapping with those chosen for the skilled worker stream.

The New Brunswick Express Entry stream is linked to the federal system and is designed for highly skilled foreign nationals with an active Express Entry profile. To qualify under the New Brunswick employment pathway, candidates generally must: have lived in New Brunswick for at least 12 months; be working full-time in a high-skilled, non-seasonal position for a New Brunswick employer; and have accumulated at least 12 months of eligible work experience in the province. Express Entry Candidates who receive a provincial nomination through this stream will be awarded an additional 600 points

Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

Healthcare; Education, social and community services; Construction trades; Professional occupations; Transport; Manufacturing

To qualify, candidates must: receive a job offer from a designated employer in Atlantic Canada; meet minimum language requirements (depending on the job offer’s TEER level); demonstrate relevant work experience (some exemptions apply to certain international graduates); demonstrate adequate education (depending on the job offer’s TEER level); and receive an endorsement from the province where they will work and settle.
