The minimum investment is US$400,000 for real estate. Investors can purchase one or more properties, provided the total value is US$400,000 or more. Other investment forms include bank deposits (US$500,000), government bond purchases (US$500,000), capital contributions to businesses (US$500,000), or creating 50 full-time jobs. Conditions and investment levels are as announced by the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
The processing time is 3 to 6 months from the completion of the property purchase and submission of a full application. Investors must be present in Türkiye at least once to provide biometrics and submit the application in person. The new programme allows for biometric completion within a day via priority service.
Yes. The programme allows the main investor to include their spouse and children under 18 in the same application. All family members receive Turkish citizenship and passports. Children over 18 must submit a separate application.
No. The Turkish citizenship programme does not require a minimum residency period. Investors only need to hold the property for at least 3 years. After receiving citizenship, investors can live in any country while retaining their Turkish citizenship.
Yes. Investors are permitted to rent out the purchased property and receive rental income throughout the 3-year holding period. Many PLI projects offer professional rental management services, helping investors earn passive income without needing to manage the property directly.
No. The entire US$400,000 investment must come from the investor's own capital. Mortgage loans from Turkish banks cannot be used. Payments must be made through official banking channels with full documentation proving the source of funds.
Yes. After holding the property for at least 3 years (calculated from the date of TAPU title deed registration), investors are free to sell or transfer the asset. The Turkish citizenship received is permanent and will not be revoked upon the sale of the property.
