Additionally, investors must demonstrate a net worth of CAD 300,000 to CAD 600,000, depending on the programme. Programme conditions are as announced byImmigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Processing time depends on the specific programme. For the Start-Up Visa, the average time is 12-16 months. Provincial Nominee Programmes (PNP) typically take 18-24 months. During the waiting period, investors may be granted a Work Permit to move to Canada to live and operate their business.
Yes. Most programmes require a minimum of CLB 5 (equivalent to IELTS 5.0). Some programmes, such as the Start-Up Visa, require CLB 5 for all 4 skills. Quebec specifically requires French at a B2 level. Better language proficiency will help increase your score and chances of being selected.
Yes. Spouses and unmarried children under 22 can be included in the application and receive permanent residency at the same time as the investor. While waiting for PR, the family can come to Canada on a Work Permit or Study Permit.
It depends on the programme. Provincial entrepreneur programmes require a minimum of 2-3 years of management or business ownership experience. The Start-Up Visa does not require prior business experience but requires an innovative startup idea supported by a Designated Organization.
