PEI PNP #13 – 2025 results

On 15 December 2025, the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Programme (PEI PNP) issued additional invitations to apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination.

This latest draw prioritised individuals working in in-demand occupations and sectors that deliver strong economic benefits to the province.

The province issued a total of 166 invitations in this selection round, focusing on individuals working in high-value occupations and priority sectors.

Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) Note that the following groups are prioritised in this invitation round:

• Applicants working with a PEI employer;
• International graduates from designated learning institutions (DLIs), including:
  • The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI);
  • Holland College;
  • Collège de L’îlle.

These invitations were issued through two provincial immigration pathways: the Labour Impact stream and the PEI Express Entry stream.

Approximately 62% of PEI’s draws this year featured similar selection characteristics, prioritising in-province workers and international graduates from the three DLIs mentioned above.

This most recent draw is likely to be the last one the province holds in 2025, if PEI maintains its “Anticipated Invitation to Apply” schedule, which lists one draw per month.

PEI deviated from the one-draw-per-month schedule only once this year, when it held a surprise draw on 27 October following the 17 October draw.

How many ITAs did PEI issue in 2025?

The PEI PNP held a total of 13 draws in 2025, issuing a combined total of 1,596 provincial nomination invitations.

These invitations were issued almost exclusively through the Labour Impact and Express Entrystream, with a single invitation going to an applicant via the province’s Business Impact Category – Work Permit Stream.

Unless additional draws take place outside PEI’s planned rounds, this is the total number of ITAs PEI will issue this year.

How to be considered for an ITA in 2026

Consideration through the PEI PNP requires creating and submitting Expression of Interest (EOI).

The province uses an EOI ranking system to rank and select candidates most likely to meet labour market needs. Assessment is based on several criteria, including:

• English/French language proficiency;
• Education (certificate level, programme and institution);
• Skills and work experience linked to high-demand industries;
• Alignment with PEI’s current economic and labour priorities;
• Employment prospects (e.g. a job offer in PEI or prior Canadian work experience).

An EOI profile remains valid in PEI’s EOI system for six months. Once a profile expires, another must be created to continue being considered for an ITA.

The PEI Office of Immigration (OIM) is prioritising skilled workers in high-demand sectors, such as healthcare, trades, and childcare. It is unclear whether these priorities will extend into 2026 or be adjusted by the province in the new year.

Candidates who receive an ITA will have 30 days to submit a complete application to the province.
