PEI PNP Results #12 – 2025

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Programme (PEI PNP) held its largest immigration result release of the year, inviting nearly 200 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.

Candidates currently working in the province are prioritised for invitations, with additional consideration given to French-speaking candidates and international students.

Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) 190 invitations were issued through the Labour & Express Entry streams, marking the largest immigration draw the province has held this year to date.

Candidates working in priority sectors, and those who speak French, were invited to apply based on their potential economic impact on the province. In particular, candidates working for employers in Prince Edward Island, and international students from the Designated Learning Institution (DLI) following were prioritised for invitations:

• The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI);
• Holland College;
• Collège de L’îlle.

Throughout 2025, the PEI PNP has issued provincial nomination invitations exclusively through the Labour and Express Entry streams, primarily for those already working in the province or international students.

The final scheduled draw of the year will take place on 18 December.

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Programme is unique among all economic immigration programmes in Canada in that the province provides a scheduled calendar for issuing invitations to apply (ITA) throughout the year.

The 20 November draw marks the second-to-last draw that Prince Edward Island scheduled this year, with the final draw set for 18 December.

It should be noted that the province also held an additional draw, outside of the ITA calendar, on 27 October. Although it is possible that the province may hold an unscheduled draw before the end of the year, this remains to be seen.

How the PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) system works

The PEI PNP uses an expression of interest system to rank candidates most likely to support the province’s economy and labour market. This system assesses profiles using various selection factors, including the following:

• Language: English or French language proficiency
• Education: qualification level, field of study, and location of education
• Skills and work experience: connections to in-demand industries
• Strategic priorities: alignment of the profile with the current labour market needs of Prince Edward Island
• Employment prospects: factors such as having a valid job offer in Prince Edward Island and/or previous Canadian work experience

Candidates with high expression of interest scores who demonstrate strong potential for successful settlement in the province are more likely to receive an invitation to apply for nomination.
