NLPNP Results #12 – 2025

Newfoundland and Labrador has issued 100 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to provincial immigration candidates through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Programme (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Programme (AIP).

This draw round is the 12th Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP), conducted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM). The office has issued 3,046 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to candidates so far in 2025.

Invitations to apply (ITA) requirements

According to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, individuals seeking to immigrate through the NLPNP or AIP must have valid employment or a valid job offer from an employer in the province.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) that best align with the province’s labour market priorities and economic development goals have been prioritised by the OIM for invitations this year.

Candidates selected under the NLPNP receive an email notification regarding their Invitation to Apply (ITA) and may submit a full application for provincial nomination through their Atlantic Immigration Program portal account.

Conversely, through the AIP, designated employers receive notification and a formal Invitation to Apply (ITA) confirmation letter via the same portal, allowing them to submit an application to confirm the job offer directly.

All immigration candidates—except those already in Canada and applying solely through the NLPNP—must be issued an invitation code by an employer before submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Newfoundland and Labrador immigration background

As of 2025, the total provincial nomination allocation for Newfoundland and Labrador is 2,525 places, shared between the NLPNP and AIP – with the majority of invitations reserved for the NLPNP programme.

Earlier this year, the province secured an increased allocation, granting the OIM an additional 1,000 nomination places to address growing labour shortages and population needs. The majority of this increase is dedicated to NLPNP candidates.

The provincial allocation for AIP endorsements remains set at 475.

Since adopting the Expression of Interest (EOI) system in February of this year, Newfoundland and Labrador has joined other provinces in implementing a two-step “candidate–applicant” model—streamlining how workers and employers connect to meet ongoing economic and demographic goals.
