Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued further invitations to apply (ITAs) through the system Express Entry.

Express Entry issued 6000 invitation to apply (ITA) invitations in a round for candidates with French language proficiency.

To be considered for this draw, candidates were required to have:

• The minimum The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) a minimum of 399;
• Create an Express Entry candidate profile before 11:43 pm (UTC) on 24 August 2025.

Today’s draw is the second French-language proficiency draw held by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in the past three weeks. Between these two draws, the department has issued over 12,000 invitations to French-speaking candidates, a group that continues to lead all candidates in the Express Entry pool in terms of the number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs).

As of today’s draw, IRCC has issued 48,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in this category, across just nine draws. This is the sixth Express Entry draw of December. It follows the draw Canadian Experience Class (CEC) on 16 December, the Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) draw on 15 December, and the healthcare and social services occupation-specific draw on 11 December.

To date, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 117,998 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system in 2025.

Express Entry draws this year have primarily focused on Provincial Nominee Program draws, with the remainder of Express Entry invitations reserved for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates, French-language proficiency candidates, and those in priority Express Entry occupation groups.
