Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued a further invitation to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry.

Express Entry issued 6000 invitation to apply (ITA) in a round for candidates with French language proficiency.

To be considered for this draw, candidates were required to have:

• The minimum The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was a minimum of 416
• Created an Express Entry candidate profile before 3.27pm (UTC) on 8 September 2025.

Today’s draw marks the third-largest Express Entry selection round held by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) so far in 2025. The second-largest and largest rounds were also French-language-proficiency rounds, held on 19 February and 21 March respectively.

French-language-proficient candidates have received the most ITAs of all Express Entry candidates, totalling 36,000 invitations as of this round. IRCC’s commitment to inviting French-speaking candidates to settle in Canada (outside Quebec) is tied to its mandate under the Official Languages Act of Canada.

Today’s round is the seventh in October, following:

• Draws Canadian Experience Class (CEC) 28/10
• Draws Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) 27/10
• The Healthcare and social services round on 15/10

So far, IRCC has issued 80,485 ITAs through the Express Entry system in 2025.

This year’s Express Entry draws have focused mainly on PNP rounds, with the remaining Express Entry ITAs going to CEC candidates, French-language-proficient candidates, and those in priority Express Entry occupation categories:
