Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued a further invitation to apply (ITA) through the Express Entry.

Express Entry has issued 2,500 invitation to apply (ITA) in a draw for candidates working in Healthcare and social services occupations.

To be considered for this draw, candidates were required to have:

• The minimum The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) a minimum of 472; and
• Create an Express Entry candidate profile before 11:17 PM (UTC) on 12 May 2025.

Summary of Express Entry draws in 2025

This draw marks the fifth Healthcare and social services draw that the IRCC has held this year. It is also the second-largest healthcare occupation draw, equal in size to the healthcare draw on 19 August, and surpassed only by the draw on 22 July, which issued 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) to healthcare professionals.

Although the Express Entry healthcare occupation category has only seen five draws throughout 2025, candidates in this category have received nearly 10,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) as of today’s draw—the third-highest number in any category or programme under the Express Entry system.

Today’s draw is also the fourth of October, and follows a draw Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) on 14 October, a French-language occupation draw on 6 October, and a draw Canadian Experience Class (CEC) on 1 October.

To date, the IRCC has issued 73,183 Invitations to Apply (ITA) through the Express Entry system in 2025.

Express Entry draws this year have primarily focused on PNP draws, with the remaining Express Entry Invitations to Apply (ITAs) going to CEC candidates, candidates with French-language proficiency, and candidates in priority Express Entry occupations:
