AAIP issued hundreds of invitations across six draws in 02/2026

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held six draws from 06/02 to 19/02/2026, spanning various immigration streams.

During this period, Alberta issued no fewer than 441 invitations through the following streams:

• Rural Renewal Stream;
• Stream Express Entry Alberta – Accelerated Tech Pathway;
• Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway;
• Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors Pathway (construction, manufacturing and agriculture).

Draw details

The latest AAIP results show a busy mid-02 period, with invitations allocated to the technology, rural renewal and priority occupation sectors.

Notably, these draws included the first for the manufacturing sector under the Alberta Express Entry Stream, after this sector was added to the list of priority sectors to receive invitations in 01 of this year.

In addition, the Rural Renewal Stream draw on 10/02 (the largest in the past two weeks) was the first held since the AAIP tightened eligibility criteria effective 01/01 — requiring candidates currently in Canada to have work permit valid, and limiting the annual number of community endorsements from each designated community (in addition to other restrictions).

Provincial nomination figures for 2026

In 2026, the AAIP was allocated a total of 6,403 provincial nomination slots by the Canadian federal government. As of 18/02, the AAIP 2026 processing update report notes:

The AAIP recorded a total of 45,698 EOI profiles from workers on the waiting list across all streams and pilot programmes.
