PEI PNP results #9 – 2025

Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) held a draw on 19 September, issuing invitations to foreign nationals.

This was the province’s 9th draw of the year, in line with a pace of roughly one draw a month in 2025.

PEI’s latest draw issued 129 invitations through the Labour and Express Entry categories on 19 September.

The province issued invitations to candidates working in key sectors with a strong economic impact.

Priority was given to those working with a PEI employer as well as international graduates of UPEI, Holland College and Collège de l’Île.

Which candidates is the PEI PNP prioritising in 2025?

The PEI PNP is currently prioritising skilled workers in high-demand sectors, specifically:

• Healthcare
• The trades
• Manufacturing

Other key sectors facing labour shortages may also be considered, although the province has not specified which ones.

Those working in non-priority sectors (such as sales and services) will not receive an invitation to apply at this time.

The PEI PNP expression of interest (EOI) system ranks candidates on their ability to meet the province’s economic and labour market needs, based on one or more of the following factors:

• English or French language ability
• Education
• Work experience
• Alignment with labour market needs
• Other employment-related factors, such as holding a job offer in PEI

Most provinces and territories have had their nomination allocations cut for 2025.

In response, many provinces and territories, including PEI, have concentrated their nominations on workers in the sectors and occupations most in demand.
