
The Manitoba Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway under the Manitoba Skilled Worker Stream of theManitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)is for candidates with a formal job offer from approved employers in the province.
Candidates for this pathway are interviewed outside Canada by a representative of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) and an eligible Manitoba employer. Candidates need to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the MPNP before applying to the Manitoba Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway.
All candidates must also meet theeligibility requirements of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
This pathway comes into operation when the MPNP’s renewed criteria take effect in November 2018.

| Criterion | Minimum requirements |

| Work experience | – A minimum of two of the past five years of work experience related to the occupation recruited for, or other relevant experience as determined by the employer – Relevant experience is determined by the employer where it is not 2 years. |
| Additional employment / job offer requirements | – A long-term, full-time job offer meeting Manitoba’s employment standards and wage levels for the occupation; – The employer has a registered commercial business, operating in Manitoba for at least three years immediately before the date of application; – The candidate’s working conditions must be comparable to those of Canadian citizens/Canadian permanent residents; – The candidate’s position must not be home-based, part-time, temporary, seasonal or commission-based. |
| Language proficiency | The minimum official language proficiency depends on the NOC code assessed: – Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB)a minimum of 7 for regulated occupations. – A minimum CLB of 6 for compulsory occupations. – A minimum CLB of 5 for all otherNational Occupational Classification (NOC)0, A or B occupations. – A minimum CLB of 4 for semi-skilled occupations (NOC C or D) where the employer undertakes to provide or support workplace language training. |
| Adaptability | Candidates must demonstrate the ability and intention to reside in Manitoba. |
| Education | – Candidates must have post-secondary education and/or training related to the occupation recruited for or as determined by the employer. – Where the position requires a licence or certification, the candidate must apply to the regulatory body to have their qualifications and skills assessed and/or to pass an examination. – For NOC C or D occupations, the MPNP reserves the right to select individuals without post-secondary education, provided that they have the training needed for the job as required by the employer and the NOC description. |
