Brexit

Brexit is a portmanteau of “British” and “Exit”, referring to the process of the United Kingdom leaving the European Union (EU). This is the largest historical event in Europe since World War II.

In 2016, a referendum saw 51.9% vote in favour of leaving the EU. Brexit was officially completed on 31 January 2020, ending the freedom of movement and the common market.
