Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

An Apostille is a simplified one-step certification recognised in the 125 member states of the 1961 Hague Convention. Consular legalisation is a two-step process (Ministry of Foreign Affairs + embassy) used for countries outside the Convention such as mainland China, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The Apostille is faster and cheaper.
Typically 4-12 weeks, depending on how complex the assets are and which programme is involved. Straightforward cases (salary income, clearly held company shares) can be done in 4-6 weeks. Complex ones (multiple income sources, inherited assets, investments across several countries) can take up to 3 months.
Between VND 80,000 and 250,000 per page depending on language and difficulty. English is usually cheapest; less common languages such as Portuguese, Korean and Arabic cost more. State notarisation adds VND 10,000-30,000 per copy. PLI gives an exact quote once we have seen the original documents.
Yes. Every person named on the application (spouse, children under 18 or dependent children) must undergo an immigration medical for the Canadian, Australian, US and New Zealand programmes. Children under 11 may be exempt from some items, such as the chest X-ray.
Most UAE banks require you to attend in person at least once to sign and give biometrics. PLI books the appointment in advance, arranges travel and accompanies you on the day. Some digital banks such as Wio and Mashreq Neo allow remote opening with a valid residence visa.
Yes. Singapore law requires at least one Resident Director who is a citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid EP/EntrePass. PLI provides a Nominee Director service that satisfies the legal requirement while you retain full control of the company as shareholder and managing director.
A Schengen visa requires medical insurance with at least €30,000 of cover, valid across all 29 Schengen countries and including medical repatriation. PLI advises on policies from VND 150,000 to 800,000 for a 15-day trip, more for extended cover including trip cancellation and lost baggage.
Yes. PLI serves Vietnamese clients worldwide through representative offices and a partner network in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and Southeast Asia. Many services — international tax advice, overseas bank accounts, company formation — can be handled entirely online by video conference and digital signature.
